Notice carefully that Joseph Smith claimed to be the author in this original printing!
King Benjamin was already dead in the story by page 200, (Mosiah 21:28), but the author had put him back into the text. Later the Book of Mormon had to be corrected because King Benjamin wasn't still alive!
